This name is the registered/legal name of the company/individual assessed followed by the ‘trading as’ name if applicable.

Organisations or individuals can undertake the role of more than one duty holder, provided they have the skills, knowledge and experience necessary to fulfil those roles in a way that secures health and safety. SSIP Approved (previously defined as Non-Construction), Note: The category SSIP Approved is for organisations that operate outside of the construction industry or are construction-based consultants that are not classed as a contractor by way of definition of the CDM 2015 Regulations.

SSIP Approved: IE (eligible for organisations operating in Ireland and who have achieved compliance with the SSIP Core Criteria IE)

SSIP Approved: IE Project Supervisor Construction Stage (PSCS)
SSIP Approved: IE Project Supervisor Design Process (PSDP)
SSIP Approved: IE Designer

Trade:
The trade describes the types of products and services provided by the organisation. In many cases this is self-evident and defined by the activities taking place at the workplace and/or point of service delivery.

This is the address of the organisation assessed. For organisations with multiple locations each trading address must be listed on the SSIP Portal.

The Assessment will determine the applicant’s effective number of personnel during the preassessment stage. The effective number of personnel consists of all personnel (permanent, temporary, and part-time) involved within the scope of the Health and Safety Assessment. For those organisations that directly employ less than 5 personnel personnel but outsource scoped activities to labour only subcontractors and/or temporary workers then these organisations shall be expected to provide full documented evidence to meet SSIP Core Criteria requirements. These types of organisations shall not be classed as less than 5 personnel for the SSIP Portal data. The less than 5 personnel classification is for any other organisation whose effective personnel numbers are less than 5. These organisations shall be expected to provide proportional documented evidence to meet SSIP Core Criteria and legal requirements. These types of organisation will be classed as less than 5 personnel for the SSIP Portal data.

The assessment undertaken by all SSIP Member Schemes is an accurate assessment at the moment of assessment. Further checks may be required prior to appointment to verify if any HSE enforcement action has been taken since assessment (and therefore not declared during assessment). This is the expiry date of the assessment. If the assessment has not been renewed before the date of expiry, the entry will be removed from the portal and will no longer be valid.

The Safety Schemes in Procurement (SSIP) Limited forum is an umbrella organisation which facilitates and maximises mutual or cross-recognition of Health & Safety assessments between SSIP Member Schemes. All organisations listed on the SSIP Portal have successfully achieved certification with one of our member schemes to support pre qualification stage health and safety capability assessments.
